Wine School: oenology sets the pace for March programming
The Avignon Wine School continues its momentum with three workshops in March, focusing on the art of wine design and tasting. Technique, but also (and above all) sharing and enjoyment: we're playing the oenology game this month!

(Re)discover wines with character
What better way to kick off the March workshops than with a tasting of Côtes du Rhône Crus? Wines from the famous appellations of Lirac, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Vacqueyras (and many more!) take center stage during this two-hour tasting session. Under the watchful eye of an expert, you'll enjoy savoring and studying the notes and aromas of these wines, whose appellation names will have many salivating!
Practical info: we'll meet on Saturday March 8 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Carré du Palais in Avignon. Reservations can be made here.

Put yourself in the shoes of an oenologist
For the second workshop of the month, we roll up our sleeves and get hands-on to design our own cuvée. First, a specialist explains the specificities of the Rhone Valley's flagship grape varieties, then we get down to the nitty-gritty: blending reds or whites, it's up to you to create your own wine! You'll learn all there is to know about making Rhône Valley wines.
Practical info: Tuesday March 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Maison des Vins d'Avignon. Register for this hands-on workshop here.

Tasting outside the box
Finally, the month of March concludes with a tasting workshop that departs from the traditional method. Here, instead of simply focusing on the wine's ageing, aromas and notes, we go even further back... to the soil! The aim: to recognize, through tasting, the terroirs that make up the Côtes du Rhône Crus. From geology to pedology, you'll gain a better understanding of how the grape's place of origin influences the wine's flavor. All the while, of course, enjoying yourself!
Practical info: we look forward to welcoming you to this original tasting on Saturday March 22 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Carré du Palais in Avignon. Don't forget to reserve your ticket here.
