Wine School: colorful food and wine pairings on the February program
Following the success of its first workshops of the year, the Avignon Wine School returns in February with not one, not two, but three new workshops to introduce you to the art of wine tasting and more... Technique and indulgence are the order of the day this month!

Blend, create, taste!
Let's get right to the heart of the matter with the first workshop of February: the art of blending in the Rhône Valley. Blending a wine means mixing different grape varieties to try and obtain the best possible nectar. Once you've explored the techniques of blending, it's your turn to try your hand at this feat! Supervised by a professional, we know you'll feel like an oenologist, at least for the duration of the tasting.
Practical info: Saturday, February 8, 10.30am-12.30pm, Carré du Palais, Avignon. Book your ticket here.

Let your taste buds do the talking...
Who hasn't dreamed of knowing how to select a wine to go with a dish as a matter of course? Well, wine and food pairing will no longer hold any secrets for you after this second workshop of the month. Over the course of two hours, we'll explain the subtleties of this discipline in a simple (and gourmet!) way. Aromas, notes, scents... With the help of a sommelier, your senses will be tuned in to guide you towards the most appropriate food and wine pairings.
Practical info: we look forward to seeing you on Saturday February 22 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Carré du Palais in Avignon. Don't forget to book your place here.
Embark on an exotic trip
Last but not least on the February program: an afterwork party to take you straight to Reunion Island! Over the course of an evening, we'll concoct a variety of dishes featuring the Creole flavors of Reunion cuisine. Of course, we won't lose sight of the purpose of this trip: to find the best wines to accompany this culinary escapade. And the wines of the Côtes du Rhône region are richly endowed, capable of pairing just as well with ordinary dishes as with more expressive meals. An original and surprising combination your taste buds will remember long after you've landed!
Practical info: tickets for this unusual trip have unfortunately sold out... Keep your eyes peeled for the workshops awaiting you in March!
