Rendez-Vous Terroirs – your passport to the vineyards

With almost 2,000 businesses making and marketing Rhône Valley AOC wines, it’s hard to know where to start or which wineries to visit.

So to help visitors make an informed decision, the Rhône Valley's estates and wineries have come up with a quality charter, which they’ve named Rendez-Vous Terroirs. The charter is based on over 80 criteria, ensuring visitors enjoy a warm welcome and excellent tasting conditions. It reflects the Rhône Valley's values of friendship and sharing, fosters delightful encounters and emphasises the warm hospitality that makes the region a wine tourism favourite.

On this site you’ll find a selection of 475 of our wine estates whose architectural, cultural and natural heritage makes them ambassadors for their region. Yet each and every one is unique.

Rendez-Vous Terroirs

La Cave Dégustation – the Tasting Cellar

The place to taste and buy wine

Tasting Cellars are typically family-run, offering a warm welcome and top-quality tasting facilities. Wine is the family’s passion as well as their core business, and they’re eager to share their knowledge. Expect an inviting, authentic experience.

La Cave Découverte – the Discovery Cellar

Enhance your wine-tasting experience

This is where you can learn about wine-growing, tour the vineyards and winery and enjoy a small selection of wine-related activities.

La Cave Expérience – the Experience Cellar

For a memorable, immersive wine experience

Here, you can visit for a few hours or spend a few days. Of course, the Experience Cellar, like the Tasting and Discovery Cellars, offers tastings. But there’s so much more besides, promising an immersive vineyard experience.  Services may also include on-site catering and accommodation.

So there really is something for everyone. Now all that remains is to find the experience that’s just right for you!
