Drôme: visit a wine estate

The Drôme – it’s all in our nature

The Drôme department spans both the southern and northern sections of the Rhône Valley Vineyards. The wine route features a number of castles, such as the one in Suze la Rousse which now houses the Wine University. There are plenty of Rhône Valley appellations to choose from here, including the wines of the Diois with their famous Clairette de Die, Grignan les Adhémar and Côtes du Rhône, along with top Crus such as Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage and, further to the south, Vinsobres.
With its varied landscapes of fertile plains, rolling hills and rugged mountains, the Drôme offers a broad range of leisure opportunities for nature lovers.  Hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and canyoneers won’t be disappointed, whether they’re in the Vercors Massif, the Drôme mountains, the Die plateau or the slopes of the Baronnies.
And with its picturesque hilltop villages and unspoilt nature, the Drôme is also a superb wine destination, with vineyards and wineries aplenty to discover as you explore the great outdoors.
